UNIFI.eFax Overview (2/19/99)
UNIFI.eFax is UNIFI's fax-from-the-desktop product. This document provides the roadmap for installing UNIFI value-added software. Please go through the release notes in their entirety before attempting to install UNIFI.eFax systems.

UNIFI.EFAX INSTALLATION ROADMAP
Installation of UNIFI's UNIFI.eFax systems encompasses many systems and many programs. It is critical that installations be performed in the correct order. Below is the installation order for each box.

DMZ
- If cron jobs are running, disable cron.
- UNIFweb.Z - for the installation procedure

for the Gatekeeper startup
- UNIFadval.Z - for the installation procedure
- For directions on the deployment of customer docs
- For directions on the configuration of the Insight servlet
- If cron was disabled in Step 1, enable cron.
Node Server (note that 3 of the packages use 1 set of installation instructions)
- If cron jobs are running, disable cron.
- Shut down the AR submit email processes prior to the shutdown of the Mail*Hub

UNIFI.eFax Configuration
Required system configuration is included in the installation instructions for each system. Please refer to the UfD Technical Documentation in the Product Operations Website (http://prodops/) or to the printed installation instructions available from Tasha Benson (ext. 7417) or Mark Lescarbeau (ext. 7831).
Service StartupFor most systems, services and processes can be started up at the time each system is installed. Instructions for starting up the various services are included in the Installation Instructions. Rick Fotino has provided the following list of startup order. See Rick for further information and instructions.
